Our company was born in 1949. Originally, despite installing glasses in the civil construction sector, Autovidreira’s core business was the windshield and back and side windows for cars. We’ve been through different periods in the history of our country, overcoming a few economic and political crisis that occurred over these years. In February 1999, Autovidreira completely changed its management. The name remained, due to the recognition, but there were many innovations. We elected a young team led by a specialist in the sector, who maximized the means to a sustained growth. We redirected the focus of our business, we invested in the diversification of our services in order to reach a greater number of people and entities.

We have increased our fleet and our specialized staff, who made possible to monitor and provide technical advice, to install glasses and mirrors in small and medium-sized projects, whether for private or business customers. We lead the trend of introducing glass and mirror in architectural and design projects, collaborating with some renowned Portuguese studios.

In 2002 we opened a store in Campo de Ourique, where we were able to correspond with greater proximity to our costumers and their needs. In addition to all glazier services, we started to offer all types of framing works – with a wide range of frame profiles, cardboards and passepartouts, photo frames and decorative frames, as well as several national and foreign works of art.

Feeling that our customers deserved another space with similar offers, in 2004 we opened the second store in Rua do Poço dos Negros, São Bento.

In 2018, we changed our Campo de Ourique store. A privileged location, in the center of the neighborhood, allowed us to take another step forward on our journey. Our framing atelier has been modernized and all the steps of the production process were carefully analyzed and improved – this was reflected in the quality of the final product and in the new costumer portfolio we won.

Currently, we are a set of synergies that aim to delight  the needs and expectations of our current and potential clients. We seek to invest in the best technologies available in the sector, in order to offer a top-notch service.

Autovidreira was born to be a reference provider in its sector. This is the basis of our motivation, which makes us want to do better everyday. Our mission is to provide a top-notch service to our customers, looking for the most advanced technologies so we can provide the best products on the market. We want to be close and support the projects of our customers, individuals or companies.
